Ben post 9?

For my weekly drawing assignment i did a close up detail study of a bamboo plant i have at my house.
This is also a brief sketch of a project i did in my Intermedia class. My project is dealing with mural work and the whole idea of street art, and the positive impact public art has on a community.
I recently came across artist, "Jonas Burgery" and immediately fell in love with his work. Jonas Burgery is a German artist who's work deals with human existence and the constant need or struggle to figure out our purpose in life. His canvases are overwhelmingly huge at times consisting of a surreal setting and figures doing bizarre gestures and actions. I love his color palette and his overall compositions. Not to be negative, but from what i've read his color palette shows the dark, eery feeling of the inevitable, and the failure of finding the meaning to existence. That being said, i think his paintings are very captivating, and interesting to say the least.

An example of how large his detailed paintings are.
