I've been thinking about using strange perspectives and compositions to abstract reality in my paintings and drawings. I posted a sketch of a tiny abstracted space and the painting I'm working on which both use perspective in a weird way. I also recently found drawings I made when I was around six years old... they're disturbingly psychological and I'm thinking about using them for something I'm just not sure what yet.
I really enjoyed the presentation given by visiting artist Amy Walsh a week or two ago. She works primarily with found objects and creates installations of tiny interior spaces that are reminiscent of doll houses (she finds a lot of her inspiration from her childhood). She makes these interior spaces visible through small peepholes which screw with the viewers sense of space. I can't seem to post her images but here is a link to her public piece:
