Final Post Preview of final

This is one of the collages that I was talking about in my last post, I haven't decided on the final number but I I thought I'd show one of the digital collages I made for the semester. Like mentioned before I am using stock images that I have collected for my work and images of meat to be units in my illusion of a kitchen environment.  The collages will hopefully all be displayed in meat packaging. Some of it I want to keep unsaid until the crit but as my process goes I went through my images and searched for new ones and composed the collages in Photoshop. Fortunately since its a digital medium I was able to make how many Happy mistakes I wanted and could produce many collages without the physical process of cutting in pasting.

This painting is currently 30% away from a confident "finish". My process involves research and color research and com-positional investigation through studies sketches and photo resources. Photography plays an important role in my work as I collage images together and use photos to confirm my composition the colors in the original are void, all of the colors in this painting are invented and reacting upon one another. Unfortunately my cell phone camera gets covered in paint and it blurs the picture but after more work is done another picture will be taken.

Barkley Hendricks is one of the artist who has the greatest influence on Kehinde Wiley. He's from Philly and works with black portraiture and conceptual-ism he attended the Pafa and Yale and is currently a professor at Connecticut college.
His work captures the psychology , authority, and fashion of black urban people. These artist seem to be whose vocabulary I'm using in a racial context to identity while addressing sexuality in quieter ways.
